Hi! Last weekend we played at Mirjam Trepte's beautiful new Tango Studio in Halle, Saxony. It was full (about 100 people, Mirjam?) and the atmosphere was great. Photos are coming!
Homer and Cristina did a Dance-Show and they asked us to make their encore together. We were very glad, as they accepted to dance to our milonga "Puré de algas", which they didn't know. I personally love, when profi-dancers agree to dance to live and unknown music, having to improvise each movement!
As we left the Milonga (about 2am) the guests were still dancing, but we had to go because on the next day, Sunday, we had a recording session at the University of the Arts (UdK) in Berlin. We recorded five songs which show what "La Bicicleta" is about:
"La Bicicleta" (Judith Brandenburg) 2009
"Nuestro amigo Piraña" (Beba Pugliese)
"Ché, Buenos Aires" (Raúl Garello)
"Sombras azules" (Judith Brandenburg) 2009
"Sueños y sombras" (Beba Pugliese) 1996
Beba always said to me: "If you have a duo, it must sound like a quartet, if it is a Trio, should sound like a sextet, and so on... and if you are alone, it must sound like an orchestra!"
Well, my dear Beba, this Trio sounds like an orchestra! :-)
When we finish mixing and mastering we'll announce it loud and clear!
You can hear our "old" recordings at our website: www.labicicleta.de (soon also in English and Spanish)
Saludos!
Javier
